The Red Eye Tetras are a vibrant and striking fish known for its distinctive red eyes and sleek, silver body. The Red Eye Tetras are a great companion to your GloFish. Companion fish don't glow but are great for a community tank.
Set-Up Your Tank
- Make sure it all works: We suggest your tank be set-up for at least 24 hours before ordering fish to ensure all equipment is working.
- Use a heater: GloFish® fish enjoy tropical temperatures of 76-80F.
- Make Them Shine Their Brightest: GloFish® fish absorb light and then re-emit it, so their unique fluorescent colors will appear brighter and more vibrant as the amount of light is increased. So the more blue light you have the more your fish will shine!
Add Your Fish
- Follow this acclimation guide to make sure they adjust to their new home.
Feed Your Fish
- Feed two to three times daily, in small amounts, only as much as your fish can eat in a minute or so.
- Danios, tetras, and barbs GloFish Special Flake food or GloFish® MicroCrisp Food
- GloFish® Sharks and Cory Catfish need GloFish® Wafers.
- Treat all your fish to GloFish® Daphnia Treat that aids in digestion.

Temperature Delays: Fish are sensitive to high and low temperatures. To ensure your fish make the journey safely, we reserve the right to hold orders until the temperatures are safe for their arrival. This generally means no overnight temps of less than 32°F (40°F for barbs).

Only 1 Didn’t Survive
Nothing really special about these fish, I only got them to reach the minimum requirements when buying the Tiger Barbs. They arrived fast as usual and packaging was good as always. Not my first time ordering from Glofish. All seemed good but 1 Red Eye seemed to be acting weird after 48hrs and on the 3rd Day it died.

I love the livestock that I did receive but I've never in my life had to go through such an ordeal in order to even receive an order. I placed two orders back to back and then noticed I had mistakenly forgotten to add my unit number. I called glofish up and the assured me that they corrected the address. They didn't and I had to drive 50 miles round trip to pick them up at the ups facility after they attempted to deliver them earlier that day. Came home opened the package and 50% of my order was missing . I reached out to glofish and they said they were sending replacements and so I confirmed the address and they said they added my unit number. They didn't. The fish were delivered to the wrong address. I reached out yet again and triple checked that the address was correct and then once again they sent it out to the wrong address. After that I just stopped even trying to reach out because it was just pointless. I have yet to contact them for my refund because I'm just still so frustrated and upset about the events that have occurred and somewhat traumatized.

Happy easy keepers
These are happy easy fish. They do quite a bit of moving around mid-tank so they are very visible. Would recommend these for most tanks.

Great Experience
I’m absolutely impressed with how healthy and happy all the fish are that arrived. I expected a few floaters but the entire collection was in better shape then our local pet store. I bought the Long Fin Tetra collection, the Danio collection and the Lamp Eye companion fish. Every fish is thriving and beautiful.
